This letter is to commend my nurse who went above and beyond the routine care of patients. I arrived in my room around 8:30pm on 3-13-14. After getting settled in, still groggy from the anesthetic, it was 2am and I was there with my daughter and Keith. He asked if there was anything else I needed. I laughed and said "a hot cup of coffee". He pulled out his phone, made a call and within 10 minutes I had a cup of hot coffee delivered to my room. He asked if there was anything else I needed and I laughed and replied "I'm good"!
He was always respectful and mindful of my daughter and me. She spent the entire time in the hospital with me. When entering the room in the middle of the night, he'd asked if it was okay to turn the bright lights on knowing my daughter was there. Keith was very personable and interacted with family as well as myself. When I think back, I never had to ask for anything while Keith was there. I always had fresh water. He knew when pain meds were due and there he'd be pushing the WOW into my room. Keith was on top of my care. Totally tuned into my needs. He was always aware of the situation. My daughter even mentioned to me what a great nurse Keith is, so intuned to the patient's needs. While I was an inpatient, bladder issues arose. These were handled professionally and respectfully.

Keith is absolutely amazing! His sense of humor really does wonders to make people who are ill feel better. If the nurse aides do not answer the call lights promptly, Keith is always there to help. I was terrified about having surgery and Keith talked with me as long as he possibly could try to ease my fears. He is not a miracle worker but just talking to him made me less scared. He has been the best and most proficient nurse I have had since my stay at the hospital began and if I had a choice he would be the only nurse I want for the rest of my hospital stay and any other hospital visits I may have in the future. Keith deserves the DAISY nomination for sure!! He is a role model of what every single nurse here should strive to be!
