Maida Evariste exudes a love for God and a love for our Mission. She brings this love into our clinic each and every day. Maida is kind, compassionate, creative, thorough, and brings a calming spirit to each patient encounter. Maida goes above and beyond to ensure not only is the patient understood but understands what is happening. This is very important for our patients who do not often understand Western Medicine. Maida makes sure the patient receives the best care possible with each visit. Part of Maida's role is to triage patients who walk in to be seen or need phone triage because they are sick or have a concern. Using her excellent nursing skills, she assesses those patients and has appropriate information ready to share with the provider before the provider sees the patient. Maida works with every provider to create a unique, individual care plan for the patient that best suits their needs. Several years ago, Maida took on the role of mammogram coordinator for our patients who receive breast health care on the mobile mammogram unit. Maida takes personal responsibility to make sure the woman understands what the test is and what will happen during the test.
Maida is always happy and brings joy to work every day. Her positive outlook is infectious to both her co-workers and her patients. If I could clone Maida, I definitely would. She is not only an excellent nurse, but she is also an excellent person.
