We have had a condition and a patient who needed to be taken down to the ED here in 5600 unit in the last week. Lou Ann has shown the UPMC values and skill throughout both situations. The condition c yesterday, she was the first on the scene. She demonstrated compassion, calmness, and skill throughout the duration. She also had the crash cart brought over since it not been brought over right away. She works as a GI Nurse and is a delight to work with throughout the day.
The other day a coworker approached me and asked if I would take her blood pressure since she had not been feeling well. Her BP was elevated, and I asked her a few questions. I was not convinced to call a condition, so I went to Lou Ann to help me. After Lou Ann asked her a few more questions we all agreed she would go to the ED. Lou Ann grabbed her things and took her down via wheelchair.
These are two examples of a good person and an exceptional nurse. I trust and respect her!
