My son had continuous days and nights of great pain that even the strongest of medicines at times could not control. Late one night during his stay, he was having an episode of pain and Michaela had just given him his medicine, but he was needing a distraction while waiting for the medicine to help him. She asked him what kind of dance moves he wanted to see and made him smile while taking his mind briefly from the pain he was having. During one of the conversations between my son and Michaela, she found out that he liked Andy's frozen custard chocolate shakes. The next night, on her night off, she brought him one. These small acts of kindness may seem small to some, but to a young person who was battling a very difficult time in their life, it was huge.
