My husband and I came in for our induction and Coty took care of us the first and second nights. The induction was not going as preferred. I wasn't meeting progress, the baby was tolerating the process but my body was not. My urine output was very low, my kidneys were not functioning and I spiked a fever. My contractions had decreased in frequency and intensity. I was done! Coty kept my spirits up and literally held my hand. The MD wanted to wait longer, but I did not. Coty advocated for me to a degree that will forever remain with me. She was my hero! She kept calling the MD to tell her what needed to be done. So, I thought "wow, this woman really cares." She got my doctor to come in and see me at 4 am, see for herself that there were no more things to try that I just needed to be delivered. The entire time Coty told me she'd be here with me and I would be okay. She got the doctor I wanted to do the C-section. If it were not for Coty and her dedication, my experience would have not been as positive as it was. She's amazing and a true asset.
