Krystal is new to Obici and Sentara, but in her short amount of time here she has shown an extraordinary amount of compassion for her patients. Most recently last night, she cared for a cognitively challenged 71-year-old who was inconsolable as she cried for her mother's presence. Krystal sat with her, held her hand and talked to her calmly until she eventually fell asleep. This display of compassion exemplifies nursing. Krystal is patient, calm and considerate and above all else, she put the needs of her patient (physical and emotional) first!
