Angie is one of my most dedicated nurses. She is always willing to go above and beyond to provide patients with personalized care. She works many hours beyond exhaustion due to the fact that she really is driven for patient safety and satisfaction. Additionally, she is a mentor to her colleagues and is always willing to provide support when staffing is down. She has a "yes" attitude with patients and staff, meaning she will always try to achieve a positive outcome or find someone who can assist in meeting the patient's expectations.
I received a letter from the daughter of a patient recognizing Angie for always taking the extra step to connect with the patient despite the language barrier. She writes:
"Although we have never met, I have been meaning to thank you for a very long time. My mom constantly raves about you. Thank you so very much for always taking care of her. Thank you for always promptly returning her call, for always ensuring she is well informed and for making an effort to connect with her in her language. Thank you for always following up, and for being so incredibly passionate and caring in your work. Thank you for always making my mom feel respected and heard. She has said multiple times that she has never met someone so good at their job. So, thank you from the bottom of my heart. You have no idea how much it means to both of us. We appreciate you very much and hope that you are recognized for all the wonderful work you do!"
Angie is truly one of the most caring and compassionate nurses I have ever had the privilege to work with. She is an Extraordinary Nurse!
