We continually witnessed compassionate care from Brittany throughout my recent stay for knee replacement. She greeted me the first morning warmly and assessed my pain level. She took time to explain my meds and what was planned for my day including therapy. She advised me to call when I needed anything and on every visit, she offered me a warm blanket (I was always cold). She never seemed in a hurry when she came to check on me and she always took time to chat for a few minutes and did not rush off. As family came to visit me she took the time to greet them and answer their questions. She was always professional and confident as well as being compassionate not only with me and family but also with her co-workers. I saw her put an arm around another nurse as she left my room.

Brittany was also my nurse on the second day and was being shadowed by a student. She took the time to explain to the student what she was doing for me. In one case they were checking my feet for color, warmth, and pulses and she offered tips on finding the pulse. She worked patiently and professionally with the student while caring for me.

When it was time for discharge she came in and gave me a hug as I was leaving. She is an exemplary nurse and I was fortunate to have her caring for me and my family. I felt it aided significantly in my recovery
