From the first time Matthew came into my room, it was obvious that this was someone that appeared to be happy in their chosen profession. More than one of the principles of this award applies to him. My day had been tough for various reasons. The type of care that Matthew demonstrated when at work was so unexpected. I needed a listening ear from someone besides family and he provided that.
