George is the most kind, compassionate, benevolent nurse. He never shows any anxiety or frustration in situations. He always offers to help, answers call lights, and can somehow put a smile on every patient's face.
Since I started working here, George has been my go-to person. He can explain things in a way that I can always understand. When I first came to days, he helped me acclimate with the busy schedule. When I had a difficult family, he asked if he could help. George then proceeded to speak with the family and physical therapy about the plan of care and explained to them what was going on in a way that I could not. When he left the room, everyone was laughing and smiling.
Anytime I have a question, George is never too busy to help. He is even quick to say, "Let me call the Doctor and find out," or "Let's figure this out together." When I get overwhelmed and in a panic, he can always tell, and he says to me, "OK let's put out the fire- what's your biggest one?" George puts the patient first every time. He never gets mad or angry. He's so calm and understanding.
George has such a good rapport with the physicians and everyone else that works here. He is absolutely my biggest role model as a nurse. I hope I can be as wonderful as he is one day. George goes way above and beyond every day he works. I honestly don't know how he does it. I feel so comfortable when he's around because he handles every situation with such grace. I feel lucky to be able to work with him.
