My daughter woke up from sedation randomly and started throwing her arms, kicking her legs, and crying, but she wasn't supposed to be moving due to her surgery from earlier this week. My current nurse was with her other patient and I went into the hall looking for help. Victoria looked at me and asked if I was ok and needed help and I explained to her about my daughter.
Without hesitation, she found my daughter's nurse and told her she needed more medicine to get her back to sleep and for pain since my daughter was trying to cry with the tube in her mouth. Victoria comforted my daughter, adjusted her bedding and added a blanket to help hold my daughter's arms and legs down as comfort and she calmed right down. She then assisted my daughter's actual nurse in co-signing/verifying the medication to give to my daughter and helped out tremendously, and like I said earlier without hesitation.
Victoria was timely, helpful, caring, and all-around what I think a nurse should be/do and truly is a blessing. Even though she's not my personal nurse for my daughter, she acted like it at the moment and did everything she could and will definitely stick out to me from now on while we are here. Thank you, Victoria, for everything you did/continue to do!
