More than words could be used to describe the amazing beauty of Ashmira's heart and caring for me/us patients. There was never a meeting that she did not care for my well being. Every interaction she and I had was with joy, kindness, compassion, genuine attention to any and every concern I had. When I asked for one thing: for example, a towel to take a shower, Ashmira came with soap, shampoo, ice packs, even a floor towel. Knowing I'd have a little pain and discomfort, she brought ice packs for my stomach. She seeks to go above and beyond every day with every patient. I felt at home because of her caring, kindness, and attention to detail. It was as if I was part of her family. I have never felt so comfortable to be so open with concerns or needs that most patients would not dare to be so blunt and honest about. I felt Ashmira was divinely appointed to my bedside during my recovery and I couldn't have dreamed about having such a nurse as her. She provided so much more than a nurse's job. I truly am blessed beyond measure and understanding with having Ashmira during my recovery.
