I just wanted to take a minute today to recognize and appreciate what a great job Holly Monroe in clinical informatics does for our organization and specifically for us in the emergency department. Holly routinely goes above and beyond what is expected of her to help us be able to keep working and care for patients. Last night was a prime example of her willingness to help. We had a new physician starting last night and as is typical, there were problems with his onboarding and access for Meditech. Holly had worked all day at the training center on EPIC testing. The doctor started his shift at 5 pm and none of his access worked. Holly came to the ED and chased down the tickets for his work order. It got rerouted nine times. She stayed on the task and by 8 pm his access to Meditech was working as it should and he was able to function to care for patients.
This is just one example of how invaluable Holly is to us in the emergency department. She is truly an asset to the organization.
