Let me first start this off by saying that I nominated Maria once before due to me being blown away by her compassion, knowledge, and kindness. I am nominating her again because no one could figure out how to help with my severe pain due to my surgery. I was starting to lose hope with people coming in and trying method after method to get my pain taken care of, with no one actually succeeding.
Maria finally came up with a plan of treatment; she researched the method as well as talking to people more knowledgeable about the method and finally implemented it and the method almost instantly worked. I was extremely frustrated, sad, depressed, and in extreme pain. But because Maria had compassion for her patient, she was striving for excellence, and the overwhelming concerns about my safety and her deep integrity resulted in me feeling so much better and out of the pain which was crippling me physically and mentally! Maria Rubino is what all nurses should strive to be. Thank you for letting me tell my story about such an amazing person.
