Kaitlin Organisciak is an example of the perfect "DAISY Nurse"; not only is she exceptionally passionate and caring, but Kaitlin is also an excellent preceptor and role model for new nurses and students. Her compassion towards her patients is inspiring and her example brings out the best in all her coworkers. Her presence towards her patients is very comforting; as her coworkers, we hear compliments regarding her bedside manner. When we see Kaitlin on the schedule you can be sure you are going to have a good day.
Kaitlin is also an excellent patient advocate who works tirelessly with other departments to make sure that her patients have what they need physically, emotionally, and spiritually during her stay and for discharge. As our unit has made transitions, Kaitlinhas been a beacon of positivity and has made what could have been a more tumultuous time much smoother than anticipated. Kaitlin inspires her coworkers to be their very best and shares information from conferences and literature. Kaitlin is involved in UPC, Peer Review, and the Med/Surg Nurse's association.
