Jenny cared for a patient for several days and developed a good rapport with him. He had a trach several months prior and came back into the hospital with complications requiring another trach. He was going to be hospitalized over Thanksgiving. Jenny asked what he was going to miss the most about Thanksgiving dinner and the patient responded with "Pecan Pie." So because of that, Jenny promised him a piece. All the pecan pie at her family gathering was eaten, so on her day off Jenny took the time to bake another pecan pie and deliver it to the patient. She's a true example of a compassionate nurse!
