Cathy has cared for me at a dozen appointments now. This time period has been several months. Her care, open ears and constant flexibility with my other appointments and two-hour ride are very much appreciated. She has also suggested thoughtful, adjunct therapies for my ongoing issues. She has always treated me as not just a patient, but a person. I found this transparency and genuine care also delivered to a friend of mine who is treated by Cathy, only recently finding out that he is also seen by her. We were talking about our mutual experiences and phrases like, "she's really great" kept coming up.
Besides listening and suggesting, Cathy is a respected provider in her field. She has always been empathetic and professional while providing outstanding care to several chronic patients. We value her demeanor and excellence of care. Cathy Rice is one of those providers who strive to make every patient encounter a pleasant experience, and by doing so sheds a lot of positive light on my and others VAMC experience. Cathy is a bright light in a sometimes dim world of medicine.
