Rigo shows a pure heart and compassion for what he does. We had a patient who was supposed to have died a year ago due to cancer, but thanks to Rigo, has outlived and survived. This patient was a tough person because he was non-compliant with his medications and following up with oncology. there came a time where he seemed to be declining, but Rigo would still give him 100% support and bring him in every 1-2 weeks for a nurse visit with him. He and the patient would find a common point on where they'd both commit in order for the patient's health to improve. They had a great bond and you'd notice he seemed to leave clinic more content after visiting Rigo. Rigo never lost faith and helped the patient make sure to not give up on himself either. After he outlived his prognosis and made a big step on following up with oncology. he brought Rigo a handmade certificate for the best nurse. It still hangs on Rigo's desk today. Rigo, for all you do for us, our patients, yourself and family, thank you, you're the best nurse I've ever met!
