I have seen how Hilda takes care of her patients, checking on her co-workers, asking them how they are doing and jumping in to help them without hesitation.
Her patients are so comfortable with her because she explains everything she is going to do for them. She makes sure they are comfortable before she leaves their room. She is very polite and compassionate and has a charming smile.
For her nursing assistants, she checks on us, helps us and makes things less stressful for us. She helps with changing a patient's brief, without waiting for her PCA's to do it while we are doing something else.
Hilda is an example of what nursing is all about.
