I came here for shortness of breath, come to find my BP was 242/126. Needless to say, I have been here in the hospital for almost a week now. Vivian, my day nurse, saved me so much unneeded stress. I have been in bed for most of my stay due to constant IV drips and BP monitoring 24 hours a day for many days. So, when I was told I could get out of bed and go for a walk I was ready to get up and roam. Problem was, I could not find my shoes. They were not here with me. Then I remembered I was asked to remove them when I was in ICU. I had not seen them since. They never made it up to my room. I was very upset and knew this worry was not good for my BP. I asked Vivian if she happened to know the number to lost and found. She asked why and I told her about the missing sneakers. She made a few phone calls while in my room, then told me she would try to find out more info and let me know if she hears anything. I went and took a shower and in the short time I was busy she had gone and found my sneakers. Minutes after I finished my shower she came in with my shoes. I am very thankful for her efforts to help me. I truly feel Vivian cares for her patients and she is an asset to this hospital. Thank you Vivian. A small thing for you was a huge deal for me.
