I came into the ER and was admitted to the floor within an hour of arrival. Taylor provided emotional support as I had rectal bleeding and was afraid. She installed my IV with potassium and another IV port in the other arm for blood transfusion, as needed. She let me know I may not get a lot of sleep that night because of checking blood pressures, blood sugar levels, temperatures, visits from laboratory for hemoglobin levels and CBS's. That information was good to know, as I slept deeply for 3 hours in between.
Taylor's positive mental attitude, thoughtful and caring demeanor really helped me become quieted and settled. She displayed kindness, understanding, sincerity and humor. All of this was what I needed to get through almost 5 days as an inpatient.
