My son and his wife were expecting their 2nd child, a little girl in March, but instead had a very different outcome. They had their OB visit and they were not able to detect a heartbeat. An ultrasound showed that baby L had died by cord strangulation. My daughter in law was admitted to the hospital and a 2nd ultrasound confirmed this. She had to go through with the ordeal of labor and delivery knowing she would not be taking her daughter home with her and my son. The nursing staff was excellent, especially Kassie who was very supportive, compassionate and caring. I can't put into words how wonderful she was during this very difficult labor and birth. She was constantly by her side providing support and encouragement as well as educating her and my son on what to expect during the labor and birth process since she had a C-section for her son's birth. Kassie continued her excellent care following L's birth. Our entire family appreciates all she did for us during my daughter in law's time on labor and delivery.
