My mother was recently hospitalized on your Medical Oncology Unit. The nurses and physicians that took care of her were all excellent, but I need to specifically recognize Candice Jackson. My mother has worn herself out caring for my father who has Alzheimer's. Candice was very generous with her time. She took the time to sit down at the bedside and fully explain my mother's treatments and diagnosis. She treated my mom like she was her friend and they were just having a regular conversation. She explained why she should take her antibiotics and why she needed to eat even if she wasn't hungry. She answered all of our questions. Candice connected with my mom, and she was able to deliver a message to her about her health that was encouraging and loving. We appreciate and love Candice!
