I had the pleasure of meeting Connie Neely in April when I had a family member on the second floor of your hospital. She was so professional in what she was doing, and her communication skills were great. You could tell by talking to her that she was totally committed to her nursing career. She had a great passion for all of her patients. I observed her as she went from room to room in the hall and she never showed any signs of being nothing but professional and dedicated. This is what a nurse is suppose to be.

I will sum Connie up in one word..Compassion. She is caring, not only about her patients but for her teammates. She is often seen in room conversing with families, charting at the bedside so she can spend extra time with them and she is also known for picking up extra shifts when a co-worker has an unexpected event or appointment. She is a nurse with poise and professionalism. Her patients love that she shows sympathy during tough times. This could be a family member's death or patient's health or financial struggle. Connie is also a key player in driving med/surg's initiatives. She is a great teammate and friend to each and every one of us.

Connie treats everyone with love and respect. She goes out of her way to make sure things are done and done right. She is the energetic nurse on the unit that always has a smile on her face. She is the epitome of customer service. With Connie it does not matter if it takes running (and I do mean running) into a room 14 times she is going to do what it takes to get the task done. She bends over backwards for the patients and her teammates to make sure she does everything she can to make them have a good day. She always takes the new nurses under her wing and gives them the support they need in their role. We love Connie.
