I had a baby on July 5th this year. I was admitted in the morning and Kristen came in to introduce herself. She asked me my preferences and I voiced that I wanted to go through labor and deliver medication free. She was my coach the whole day and never stopped encouraging me. I felt so empowered because she cheered me on and I never felt like I could do it. When it came time for my baby to be born, it happened very fast. Kristen was so composed and calm. Her demeanor in the room the whole day allowed me to progress and enjoy my experience. My delivery went off without a hitch and I credit her so much for my success.

I am a nurse and to be on the patient side and being at my most vulnerable was a new experience for me. Nurses have an important role for patients, advocacy. Kristen was my advocate the whole day and was the definition of a caring, compassionate, and professional nurse. She made me proud of our profession as nurses! My husband and I would like to thank Kristen much and hope she knows how great she is and what she does.
