Meredith went above and beyond in taking care of my daughter. Meredith researched my daughter's condition and the special care she required, typed a detailed summary of her situation and posted it in her chart for optimum communication. She was also very sympathetic and considerate of my situation and made sure I was taken care of as well. She was easily our favorite nurse and she made our long stay much easier.
***
Meredith is a wonderful and caring nurse. She is compassionate not only to her patient but also to the family. Meredith makes beds, makes coffee for the family, and is always concerned about the needs and well-being of the family. She has a collegial relationship with all staff, always asking colleagues if there is something that she can help them with. There are many things that Meredith does perfect, but being a caring and professional nurse at all times is the most inspiring.

Meredith is the embodiment of what it means to care for your patient as though they were our own. If you want to meet a nurse who pays attention to how well her patient's baby bottles were cleaned in the pantry dishwasher, see Meredith. If you want to meet a nurse who leaves notes in a patient's chart so Mom won't have to tirelessly explain herself over and over, see Meredith. And in the middle of a care conference for a complex, long-term patient, you most likely will find Meredith. She is the advocate and mouthpiece that articulates the concerns of families to the minds of professional caregivers. Needless to say, Meredith's tenderness, concern, and warmth paired with her proactivity as an excellent nurse reaches into the lives of our patients in ways that make people feel the slightest bit closer to home. Her care overflows beyond the bedside and into the lives of staff members who have been more than fortunate to be mentored by her. I can often hear her say, "Are you doing okay, Hun?" True to herself, Meredith stands as a testament to what it means to have a genuine sense of care for those around her. Meredith, your 7C family is very grateful to have you.
