I was a patient in room 242.2 beginning December 18, 2013 for 6 days. Then I returned as a patient to room 250-2 on December 29, I had a 2nd major surgery. I was gravely ill. At this time Tina came into my room. She is unique in that she is an RN CWON Wound and Ostomy nurse. She placed or installed a wound vac on my open wound. This is an extremely painful procedure. Tina continued to take care of me in the hospital. She continued to take care of me after I went home. I would come back to the hospital so she could continue the maintenance.
Tina exemplifies the following attributes: Exceptional work, compassion, kindness, sense of humor, patience, extremely thorough and made me feel like I was special. Tina had a way of minimizing my discomfort. I felt safe with her. When she walked into my room I felt an immediate connection.
