I have been admitted to St. John Oakland on many occasions. I have been fortunate enough to have Diana Rudnev on a couple admissions as my night nurse. She was the most attentive of all the nurses I've had. Diana never made me feel rushed when my husband or I had a question or didn't understand something. She took the time to explain it or draw a picture for us to understand. She never hesitated to immediately ask if I requested more pain medicine because the pain was so intense.
She is by far one of the most compassionate and caring nurses I have encountered and please believe me when I tell you I have endured this medical condition for 7 years. I have been in almost every hospital in Michigan and even drove to the Cleveland Clinic every week for almost a year, so I've met my share of doctors, nurses and assistants. She should be a role model for all nurses.
She always tries her hardest to give a smile and try to keep the family and patient feeling more confident when she walks away. She is truly an extraordinary person as well as nurse.
