My daughter was born in July and entered the world 3 months and 1 week early weighing just 2 lb. 4 oz. As you can imagine, it has been a long, scary roller coaster type of journey. From the time my daughter was admitted into the NICU, Kirsten has been her primary nurse. She has been such a huge blessing to me and my entire family. She has taught us everything there is to know about what is happening with our daughter's health. She has supported me emotionally through the ups and downs and always remained a positive energy of light for everyone in my family. She delivers updates on our daughter and takes the time to really explain the situation in depth so that we fully understand. She treats our daughter with so much love and makes our days so much more comfortable. She made our experience in the NICU the best that it could be. Kirsten is always smiling and is always a positive comfort.

When my daughter was first born, she didn't have any clothes that were small enough for her. One day Kirsten brought in two little outfits that were given to us by two graduated preemie families. As you can imagine, this was such a special gift and since then I reached out to the mother of one of the preemies. We had the privilege of meeting both the mom and little girl when they came to visit us at the hospital. It was such an honor to meet them both and share our stories with a family who has "graduated" from the NICU. All of this is thanks to Kirsten being so thoughtful and going the extra mile to help our family continue to have hope and happiness.

This is just one small example of Kirsten's thoughtfulness. The list is never-ending. I don't know how we got so lucky to be blessed with Kirsten in our lives but we are so thankful. We look forward to many future memories being made with our daughter's "Auntie K".

Thank you Kirsten! We love you!
