Edna "Eddie" Deweese has been a nurse for Rady Children's Hospital for over 24 years. Eddie has been nominated for the DAISY Award several times because of the tenderness, compassion, charm and humor she brings not only to the patients and their families but also to the night shift staff she works with. She is a nurse that we all look up to as she has the skills to calm the most terrified child, start the most difficult IV's, and always manages to bring a smile to any nurse's night. Eddie has touched the lives of so many children and their families and is very deserving of the DAISY Award.
