Kristin is a compassionate nurse and friend. I have worked at Children’s for over 3 years and since starting she has always been someone I can turn to for information and for guidance. There have been multiple times we have been in MET situations together and we just seem to mesh. She is so calm and collected when everything around her seems to be out of control. We once had a patient that needed a STAT CT and she helped me take the patient with no questions asked. When I needed help convincing the doctors that the patient needed more nursing care than we could give she was there. We advocated for the patient to have them transferred to the ICU. She is very caring and always worries about every patient on the floor when she is in charge. She makes sure all of the nurses are receiving any assistance needed and is always willing to stay late if needed. Kristin has a very compassionate heart and can relate to anyone in any situation. She always knows that to say to families and other team members to make them calm and understand what needs to be done and she just seems to get it done. I think she is an asset to the team of B6 and the Children’s team overall. I believe that her compassion and knowledge should be recognized and honored with this DAISY Award.
