With a new diagnosis of testicular cancer, my husband and I were at a loss for words to explain the pain and confusion that we felt. As my husband had to undergo treatment, with a few cycles on 7 south, Ann was someone that we will never forget. The long days and nights made Hamot feel like our second home. Only being 24 years old and married for 3 short years, they made exceptions for me to stay in his room at night. Ann would go out of her way to not only take care of my husband's health needs but my emotional and physical needs as well. With 6 rounds of chemotherapy, multiple surgeries, numerous trips to the ER because of fevers and multiple battles with pneumonia, blood clots and a pleural effusion, he has remained cancer free for a year and a half. Despite the 50+ nurses seen at the multiple hospitals, Ann Brown is a name and face that we will never forget. Her kind words, extreme knowledge, and understanding of our needs, was far more than I ever expected. With that being said, with our deepest thanks and appreciation, we will always have a special place in our hearts. Thank you.
