Brittany Ferrell was traveling home via plane when she heard overhead announcing for any medical personnel to report to first class. Brittany responded to find a passenger seizing as the family was holding the passenger down. Brittany educated the family while supporting the passenger. Another medical professional responded and felt the seizing passenger would be fine to make it the rest of the flight. Brittany advocated for the passenger that she needed immediate medical assistance. The flight crew made an emergency landing in Charlotte. This patient had new-onset seizures with no known reason. The patient then began tonic-clonic seizing again. When they landed, EMS quickly took the patient. I don't know the outcome for this passenger but can imagine had Brittany not advocated for this patient the plane ride could have turned out much differently.
