Besides being an amazing, all-around, go-to resource for daily function issues for the EP lab staff and faculty, Lynne Sloan exemplifies caring and putting the patient first. She stands out as a strong patient advocate, treating each and every patient with the same compassion and respect as she would her own family member. As a nurse administering conscious sedation during sometimes long and frightening procedures, Lynne is able to distract patients by getting them to talk, calming their fears while comforting them at the same time.
Lynne is particularly skilled in caring for the patients who might be deemed “difficult” and frequently volunteers for the challenge. She thinks quickly and works rapidly and skillfully. She educates patients and their families about what to expect during and after the procedure and provides ongoing education about the specialized equipment and it use in the lab. During procedures, she updates the families frequently and offers suggestions on where to go and what to do while they are waiting.
Lynne is an exceptional nurse and a shining star in the EP lab!
