I came to the hospital because my legs hurt and I just did not feel well. I was afraid, but my RN Kayla made me feel safe and cared for. Her bright smile, caring eyes, and quick response saved my life. I asked another nurse to help me write this because I appreciated RN Kayla during the moment I felt different, could hardly see anything, and became very confused.
Kayla was extraordinary with her delicate care for our patient. Kayla's fast thinking and quick response saved the life of our patient. When we went into the room, the patient told me she was frightened, anxious, and could not see. I noticed her holding Kayla's hand and Kayla was reassuring her all would be well. We stayed several hours during our "Code Stroke" and possible "Code Sepsis" until the doctor was at the bedside and the transfer to IMCU. Kayla was there even after her shift giving excellent compassionate care. The bond I witnessed between patient and RN, the trust, the continued assurance that we will not leave your side was truly inspiring.
I am so proud to work beside this beautiful dedicated nurse and be a part of this team. Thank you, Kayla!! The love of nursing and the commitment you showed was truly moving. We appreciate you so very, very much!
