Star truly exhibits passion in the delivery of excellent nursing care. A patient had arrived for a procedure that would require him arriving early, having the procedure, leaving for six hours and returning. On this day, the patient was very concerned because he lived over 90 miles away and suffered from short term memory loss problems. Star took action by asking for approval for the patient to stay in an open bed and offering to assist him with his needs in addition to her normal duties. She truly established a professional connection with this patient and went above and beyond for him and he couldn't stop taking about his great experience.
