Amanda has been with my granddaughter since August 29th. B had spinal surgery then and she is only 11 years old. Amanda had B during a rough time. B had a lot of pain. We did not know what to do to help her. Amanda worked very hard and knew just what to do. It was like Amanda was with B all of the time and whenever B needed her medically or emotionally. She never tired. She not only helped B but she helped us, B's family. She is a wonderful nurse. She guided us and B thru the worst times. I hope Amanda is rewarded for her perfect nursing and for her kindness, problem solving and gentleness with children. We can never repay all that she did for B and our family. We will always be grateful for her and will remember her forever. We have never been in Children's Hospital before. We will be discharged September 4. Amanda has been there since the first day. My daughter, B's mother and I stayed here. We are supposed to be able to take care of any problem for B whatever it is. We could not. But Amanda appeared and she knew how to. What an angel! Thank you!

Being an older patient here (26) sometimes I feel out of place. Amanda was the one person that made me feel like I did belong here as an adult. She treated me like someone my age should be treated. She is so nice, funny and caring that I looked forward to seeing her every time she came in. She understood exactly what I needed without even asking. She is the perfect nurse.
