Martin Vidal was my nurse during my hospital stay at Providence St. Joseph Hospital. He thoroughly explained all the procedures he did. He had a beautiful smile and a calm demeanor. He always asked how I was feeling and was supportive and helpful. He has a wonderful sense of humanity and always brought a smile to my face. He answered questions my family asked and made them feel like they were a part of my care. I looked forward to the day he came on duty for the good care he provided. Martin Vidal is exceptional in his duties as a nurse. He is a wonderful role model for the nursing profession.

After suffering a heart failure episode with prior history of the same, I was terrified about sudden death. I was also very nauseous as my heart medications needed to be aggressively increased. Additionally, I was pre-op and post-op for an angiogram and a possible EPS study. Martin went above and beyond to comfort and care for me, despite being pulled in many directions at the same time. This positive optimistic energy carried me through the dark and scary period of my hospitalization. Furthermore, he went out of his way to make my wife feel at ease. He has an excellent knowledge of medicine for being such a young nurse and knows when to ask for additional help when needed. Martin has a bright future in nursing. He is a great asset to the hospital.

I had an infection and a fever. Martin was my nurse for a couple of shifts. At first, he was formal and quiet and businesslike. I needed some human interaction. I was too tired to move much. I asked him to visit when he could. We had a very friendly few visits and he truly lifted my spirit. The best care. He is a fine young man and an empathic professional. A great representative of your hospital!

We, the family of a 5 South patient hereby come to recognize and appreciate Martin's hard work, caring, compassion and kindness he offered to our mother during her stay. Every time my mother saw Martin, she would smile and call his name for she was happy to see him knowing he will comfort her quickly and reduce her pain. We thank Martin and all your kind and caring nurses for their dedicated care and wish them a healthy, happy life.

Martin is a compassionate nurse who treats his patients perfectly, such as my husband. He treated my husband and me like a true professional. He is very active in his role and practices compassion which is vital not only in this line of work but in life. Martin is a kind person like all the people who work here. He comes in with his happy face to say hello. He is energetic and active. He helps others with a smile on his face and this is what characterizes him. Thank you a thousand times for all the help you gave us! Every nurse should learn from Martin, he is a wonderful nurse!
