I would like to thank Kim Howard for the amazing work she does. She is an outstanding caregiver who shows exceptional care, knowledge, and help. Kim was there when we needed her, available, ready to act in a stressful environment. I am very impressed with her service to our family. As a caregiver myself it is a great honor to work in the same organization as this employee.
My wife's water broke, and we rushed to the hospital; Kim happened to be working on the floor that night and was assigned to care for my wife and our baby. I and my wife had regular checkups and doctor visits prior to our due date and had no concerns or warning signs. It just happened that somehow, we had a cord prolapse at the hospital; a very dangerous complication that could be devastating to both mom and the baby. Thankfully Kim was at our bedside. She knew exactly what to do, called for help, called the operating room and the doctor, acted quickly, efficiently and yet remained calm and confident. Her calm demeanor certainly helped me and my wife as we were rolling to the operating room.
Today, 2 months after the birth of my baby, we are taking family pictures, enjoying every minute with our healthy son and are extremely thankful that we happened to be exactly where we needed to be that day and that Kim was there with us. Who knows what would have happened if we did not have such a skilled, professional, caring nurse at our side. She saved 2 lives in one day, and I hope she can be noted, recognized, exemplified and honored.
