Lauren was nominated by a patient who delivered her stillborn son. The patient wrote:
Lauren was one of the wonderful nurses who took care of us during our stay at Bryn Mawr during what was the worst days of my husband and I's life. While we are still grieving, we can't stop thinking about Lauren and how she made us feel as cared for as possible.
Lauren was working two different shifts on a holiday and while I'm sure she had other places to be, you would never have known it. She rarely left our side, cried with us, and kept us company through some of the worst moments I will ever experience. If another nurse was on duty, Lauren was texting them asking how we were, and when our son was finally born, Lauren came into work even though it was her day off. She dressed him for us, weighed and measured him, and made footprint keepsakes for us. It meant the world to us that she cared about our son and treated him with care and compassion. We will never forget her or her care. Lauren is an incredibly special person and we were incredibly lucky to have someone so caring to be with us during a time we needed it the most.
