My son is on the Pedi GI floor. He has been here a week, and will probably be here at least another week, he has had test after test. A PICC line put in for all his meds that he needs. I have stayed up here with him every day and night. Although the entire staff has been very helpful, Becca Jones really stood out for us.

Nurse Becca has made today a breath of fresh air. She has made my son smile and talk and laugh - which for a 17 year old boy in pain is no small job. Today was the Christmas in July event and not only did Nurse Becca convince him to go, but helped to get him the wheelchair, blanket, and socks to keep him comfortable. The tech brought him to the event, took pictures for us and stayed by his side the entire time!! The tech even made my son a get well picture!

My son has been NPO for several days and has gotten along fine with the staff, but said to me...."Mom, this is the first time I'm sad about the shift change because Becca made this the best day for me since I've been admitted."

I'm nominating Nurse Becca for the DAISY Award because she has gone above and beyond what we wanted. Nurse Becca gave us what we needed....Love!
