I would like to nominate Jackie Connelly for not one reason, but many. Our manager stepped down a few weeks before our new cancer center opened and Jackie was asked to fill in until a new manager could be hired. She not only stepped in but went far beyond in order to make sure that the opening of our new cancer center went smoothly for our patients. There were many issues that had come up in the process along with many changes for our staff. Jackie kept everyone moving forward from showing support while we were learning many new ways of doing things in a brand new center, to being the sounding board when things did not go smoothly, from staff members all the way to administration. She problem solved on many levels along with giving the best care to our patients. She continued working in a staff nurses role so that we would not be short of staff, including working late almost every night to help care for our late patients, since there was a skeleton crew many nights. Jackie never says no when a staff member asks for her assistance, and will find help from someone else for us when she herself is in the middle of something else. She is fantastic at every aspect of nursing in our facility and does not hesitate to jump in and help whether it be starting a difficult IV or helping another staff member change and clean a soiled patient.

These are only a few examples of the character traits of Jackie Connelly RN. We are very very fortunate to have her in our work lives and would really like to say Thank You. She has no idea how wonderful she is.
