Recently I spent about two months on Floor 10 following a HIPEC surgery. In that time, I was cared for by numerous nurses and staff.
Josh has an extremely nice, calm and warm demeanor. He takes the extra minute to explain what he is doing or to answer any questions I may have had. Josh was always prepared and thorough in his care. Most of the time he was training a student and that student was very fortunate to have Joshua as a teacher. Over several weeks, I saw this student become a very well trained nurse.
One incident in particular that really gave me confidence in Joshua was my second day there. My NG tube had not produced anything since surgery and my pain was becoming excruciating. All of this came to a head right at shift change. Joshua never left my side unless he needed a supply of something.
At one point the pain was excruciating and I grabbed Joshua's hand and asked him to please not leave or to help me with the pain. He looked me in the eyes and explained he would be there until we got the situation fixed. I could feel his compassion and dedication that came deep from his heart. He solved all the problems and I trusted him completely from that day forward.
