Melissa is an exemplary RN-CNO. She walks the floor every day and speaks to me and we have had personal conversations. Last September when I was out for 6 weeks, she sent a card to my home and I realized that not only did she speak to me, but she cares. She referenced conversations we had had about going to the lake. She remembered our conversation! I had already put her card in my special things to keep forever. But that's not all!
My daughter-in-law's father was in the hospital on the 2nd floor. S (my daughter-in-law) came to visit her dad with her 2-year-old daughter, C. Melissa made rounds and was visiting in the room with S and her dad. S's dad gave C a grape from his food tray. They are all talking, and they notice C was turning red and couldn't breathe. Melissa grabbed C and put her on her lap and did Heimlich maneuver on her stomach and then turned her over and did Heimlich on her back. The grape popped out and C could breathe! Melissa saved my beautiful baby girl's life! I will forever be thankful and indebted to her. She is the most awesome person, nurse, and CNO! She is truly a DAISY Nurse! She is my happy C's Angel!
