We have met many great nurses but Mindy really stands out. She is not only friendly, compassionate and caring, but she is very skilled with young children. My grandson is 4 years old with neuroblastoma. No matter what his disposition, she is able to calm him and handle his care. My grandson's port is a particularly difficult port to access. Many really good nurses have had trouble with it. Not Mindy. She remembers how to exactly access it every time. She is quick and accurate and has never yet had to adjust or repeat an attempt. She is very quick whether he wiggled or was still. She calmly talks him through and walks him through every step. She is patient and always kind. My grandson adores her. I always feel she helps him like he was her own. Professional and positive to my daughter and me as well. She always encourages us and makes the worst part of the visit not so bad. She has made a huge difference for our family. So many great nurses but Mindy really stands out. This is the only way we can express our gratitude. Thanks for hiring her at Children's.

Mindy is awesome!!!! She really cares about her patients. She explains everything she's doing in terms you can understand. She makes being in the hospital as fun as it can be. We love her!! The world needs more people like her.
