Amanda's role as a Senior Solution Strategist within CommunityWorks is to deliver ongoing innovation to our client partners in pursuit of Cerner's mission. Using her vast Cerner/Solution and nursing experience, Amanda truly serves as an advocate for our clients and their patients. She isn't afraid to take on tough situations and challenge the status quo if it means speaking up for what she believes is right.
Amanda is co-leading the Cerner CommunityWorks COVID-19 response. CommunityWorks provides EMR services to over 200 critical access, community, and specialty health systems with over 25,000 concurrent users. This entails keeping track of current best practices in the industry and listening to our hospital clients to come up with the best workflows for them to use. It also entails coordinating EMR updates to 9 EMR platforms and actually performing a significant portion of these updates herself. Amanda is also maintaining the communication to the clients via our online message boards. She attends and contributes to the Cerner COVID-19 response task force meetings. In this incredibly challenging time, her response has been proactive instead of reactive and it has been completely selflessness in nature. This is a trying time for all health care workers, and Amanda is a shining example of grace, compassion, and selflessness that we all can aspire to emulate.
