Myranda Harbuck from MSICU means more to our family than I can even begin to express. Our mom was admitted to SF, the next day she was transferred to MSICU and on the following day, she was intubated and sedated due to respiratory failure from COVID-19. We've had several wonderful nurses during this time, but Myranda by far has stuck out the most. Myranda called us to update us on positive progress not just negative. She is very patient with me and answers my questions as I am a critical care nurse also. She informs me of lab changes and never once has made us feel like we are a bother to her. As a nurse myself, I understand first hand the sacrifices she is making taking care of our mom. Myranda plays KLOVE radio at our mom's bedside. She calls us from her bedside so we can at least tell her we love her and pray with her. I have to say Myranda has gone above and beyond in our mom's care, more so than is required by a nurse. We need more nurses like Myranda. Please make sure she is recognized for her outstanding care.
