Twice in the past two years, my girlfriend has needed emergency service for her foot. Both times Nurse Humphries was the triage nurse on her arrival. This is now our third time to be in the ER and once again Nurse Humphries is here, she always remembers my girlfriend, even though she sees many patients in this ER. The first two times we came in, my girlfriend and I were both struggling with drug addiction, and felt that some of the staff's treatment was lacking, probably due to our obvious drug use. However, Nurse Humphries remained nonjudgmental, and was caring, despite the opinions of her co-workers. Today, Nurse Humphries once again remembered us and encouraged my girlfriend in her fight with sobriety. We will never forget her words to us "you are always welcome here, and be proud to be sober". Thank you Nurse Humphries; we cannot put into words what your kindness has meant to us.
