Our family faced the unimaginable last week when our granddaughter died and our daughter-in-law had to give birth while being completely broken-hearted. Heather was so caring and compassionate to our entire family (parents, grandparents, great grandparents, stepparents, siblings, etc. - there were a lot of us there in a very tiny space). We were all devastated and didn't really know what to do with ourselves or how to help our kids get through this, but all day long, there was Heather. In and out to help my daughter-in-law through physical pain, childbirth, very lovingly, and gently caring for our baby and never once making any of the extended family feel like we were in the way. I can only imagine how difficult delivering and caring for a stillborn has to be, but she did it with such tender loving care. Heather helped make the most horrible day in all our lives a bit more bearable. And for that, we are immensely appreciative.
