I am grateful that I have the opportunity to nominate Melanie for this award. Her compassion and her cheer were a godsend to our family. When we decorated my mom's room for the Saints game, she was right with us, even helping my mom shake her pompoms during the game. Her ability to make everyone laugh truly was the best medicine for our entire family. Her energy, wit, and insight was a comfort to my terminally ill mother and our entire family.
